Saturday 4th January - Sunday 12th January 2020
We have some really great news which should interest all of you coffee lovers out there!
This is something we have been thinking about for a while, as many of you have been asking us to organise tours to the coffee growing areas of Ethiopia. As luck would have it, we have found the perfect partner to make this happen:
We are very excited to have partnered with top adventure travel company YellowWood Adventures, renowned for their unique and specialist trips to Ethiopia, to bring you an amazing 9-day adventure in this beautiful country.
Discover the wonderful culture of Ethiopia whilst following the amazing ‘crop to cup’ journey of Ethiopian coffee from the wild forests of Bonga, part of the Kafa biosphere nature reserve, to the cup or beans you purchase in London.
Coffee originates from Ethiopia. The word ‘coffee’ comes from the word ‘Kafa’; the green jungle region in the southwest of the country.
Walking through beautiful jungle with Colobus Monkeys swinging overhead, we will experience the beauty of its diverse flora, fauna, wildlife and local people; visiting the coffee plantations, villages, and the people who live and work there, learning everything about the processes that allow the beans to be exported to the international market.
One of the highlights is experiencing the famous Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony and learning the art of ‘cupping’. But wherever we go, you are going to be tasting great coffee!
Also, on January 7th it is the Ethiopian Christmas - the festival of "Genna", so we will be celebrating with the local people.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for more information, at any time – we will be most happy to schedule a call with you to discuss this further. You are welcome to call Anteneh directly on 07903 737071, or contact us through the website: www.theethiopiancoffeecompany.co.uk
