BOMBE KONTEMA
Meet Bombe Kontema—the coffee that tastes like someone bottled the sunshine, soil, and sheer magic of Sidama and sent it straight to your Cup.
Grown high in the cloud-kissed village of Bombe (2100–2300m!), this coffee matures slowly, thanks to humid air, dense vegetation, and the kind of fertile soil farmers dream about. Over 1,000 smallholder farmers bring their coffee cherries to Kontema Station, where they’re naturally processed. The station can handle a jaw-dropping 450,000kg of coffee per harvest, but each lot still tastes wonderfully individual. We think it is really superb.
Now for the flavour bit—because that’s why we are here, after all.
This cup sings. Anteneh, Our Coffee Man, was reminded of his homeland’s strawberries (the real, wildly aromatic ones that grow abundantly in this region) drizzled with a touch of golden syrup and the gentlest whisper of vanilla. It’s naturally sweet, silky and balanced. It has just the right amount of decadent—no sugar required, unless you’re into that, of course.
Bombe Kontema is a coffee with a story, a landscape, and a personality. Drink it and you’ll understand why this region is one of the most celebrated in Ethiopia
